Textile Showcase at C24 Gallery
Textile Showcase at C24 Gallery will be an informal tour of textile art by a number of different artists currently on view as part of a group exhibition in our Atrium space, as well as in our project space and private viewing room. Guided by Gallery Manager Deborah Oster Pannell, participants will learn more about the artists' process, craft and inspiration, in a relaxed, conversational event.
Artists include Merav Kamel & Halil Balabin, Fırat Neziroğlu, İrfan Önürmen, Micha Serraf, and Patricia Waller, representing Israel, Turkey, Zimbabwe & South Africa, and Chile, via Germany. They work in a range of mediums and techniques, including layered tulle constructions, crocheted acrylic yarn, wool and cotton needlepoint, hand woven wool and silk, and miscellaneous fabrics.
The collection of work by these artists demonstrates the diversity of C24 Gallery's international program, as well as the depth and complexity of artistic vision that we champion. We look forward to a lively exchange about technique and composition as they relate to materiality, all in the context of celebrating a variety of contemporary textile art.

C24 Gallery is an independent, contemporary art gallery located in Chelsea, New York. Our artists work in a variety of mediums, including painting, ceramics, photography, textile art, video and sculpture. They share a common exploration of personal and cultural identity and its relationship to history and ongoing cultural and environmental changes. Their narratives are compelling and thought-provoking, and their work is complex and nuanced. We work collaboratively with numerous non-profit organizations and other cultural institutions to augment our exhibition calendar with a variety of additional programming. Join New York Textile Lab at Little Creek Farm to dig into healthy soil and see how your material sourcing can have a positive impact on climate change.
Tour the farm and meet innovators from the agricultural and design industries who are actively working to shift our textile production systems to regenerative models. Explore Climate Beneficial textiles and engage in a Q&A panel to learn about Carbon Farming and other strategies to help us grow a textile industry rooted in social and environmental equity.
Our Carbon farm Planner will lead a walking tour of Little Creek Farm and discuss practices that are designed to draw carbon out of the air and store it in the soil. He will show soil samples and discuss regenerative farming practices. Hear from experts about raising sheep, alpacas and the connection between soil health and fiber quality. Learn about building a national farm- to- product supply chain focused on regenerative farming. Visitors will get to see the alpacas up close!

Come tour the Kravet archive with Scott Kravet and Archivist Lina Forrester as they take you on a textile journey that spans the globe with documents that are as old as time itself.

The diversity of the kravet archive is expensive-from our oldest object, an Egyptian textile dating from 200 BC to contemporary pieces such as indigo-dyed fabrics from Japan in the late 21st century. Our collection has been carefully curated from around the world, with textiles originating on the six continents. Kravet’s growth over the years has been matched by its archive, which now includes over 35,000 hand selected pieces. The comprehensive archive continues to grow as chief creative director Scott Kravet Travels across the globe broadening the collections holdings. The new archive room has state-of-art temperature and humidity controls for preservations of the textiles and artwork. The space also includes space for conservation and photography.
